Cryptocurrency has taken the world by storm, and tracking the value of your portfolio is essential for any investor. With the advent of the Glideblox Telegram bot, tracking your cryptocurrency portfolio has become easier than ever. You simply connect exchanges and wallets to the bot and track your portfolio in one place. However, with the ease of use comes the concern for security. In this article, we will discuss the security of using our product.
One of the most crucial aspects of our Glideblox platform is its ability to connect to an exchange through an API. An API, or application programming interface, is a set of protocols and tools for building software applications that can interact with each other. In our case, Glideblox platform receives data from an exchanges, calculates it and displays it to users. Connecting 3rd party applications over API to an exchange account is a common practice. However, API integration requires high security measures on the application's side. Being a responsible service, we built our system applying industry-grade security protocols for SaaS.
It is important to note that our platform uses API keys with read-only permissions. This means that it is impossible to manipulate with the account through it. The read-only API only allows system to fetch account's data, such as balances and transaction history. It does not allow us to make any trades or withdrawals on the account. Using read-only API keys adds an extra layer of security on top of securing infrastructure itself. This ensures that users' accounts remain safe even in hack incident.
Telegram also provides a secure platform for our bot to operate on. Telegram bots are safe to use as an interface because access to the inside of the bot system is protected by the architecture of Telegram itself. Telegram uses end-to-end encryption for all messages sent between users, which means that only the sender and receiver can read the messages. Additionally, all data sent through telegram servers is encrypted, making it impossible for attackers to access the data through interception.
Furthermore, telegram bots are not vulnerable to traditional hacking methods such as SQL injection or cross-site scripting attacks. This is because bots are hosted on telegram servers and do not have a front-end interface that attackers can exploit.
We recognize that security is a crucial aspect that needs to be evaluated and maintained regularly. That's why we plan to conduct security audits with multiple independent partners on a regular basis. With the increasing popularity of cryptocurrency, we remain committed to prioritizing the security of our Glideblox platform and bot to ensure our users have a secure and dependable portfolio tracking experience.

Security at Glideblox
We are excited to share the progress we've made over the past two months at Glideblox, the ultimate crypto portfolio tracking tool. Our team has been hard at work testing the Telegram bot Alpha version, and we are glad to report that we have stabilized the core system, fixed bugs, and worked through security.
We are currently expanding our Alpha user pool and would like to thank our alpha testers for their valuable feedback. Your input is crucial in shaping our product and improving its features! In addition to our progress with the Telegram bot, we are thrilled to welcome two new members to our team. Varvara Krasavina has joined us as a Head of Design, bringing with her an impeccable sense of beauty and extensive experience in user interface design. Pavel Menshchikov has joined as a Frontend Engineer, with 16 years of experience in Web development. New team members have taken the development of the mobile app to their desk, and we will soon show the first UI screens to our Telegram and Discord community.
As far as plans are concerned, we are sticking to our roadmap. By the end of June, we plan to release a public Beta of the Telegram bot. This bot will allow you to track the balance of assets on multiple centralized exchanges and blockchain wallets in one place.
Additionally, we are going to extend the pool of integrated crypto exchanges. Our long-term strategy is the continuous integration of crypto exchanges, blockchains, and DeFi platforms one by one starting from the most popular ones. This approach will allow us to quickly cover most potential user needs.

Our mission
🤩 I first learned about cryptocurrencies and blockchain in 2013, and I was fascinated by the idea that decentralizing the financial sector would boost the global economy, just as the Internet once influenced communications.
🤯 I have been experimenting with this technology, and at some point, I had so many different wallets and accounts on exchanges that I got confused to track all of them. At first, I tried keeping records in a notebook and spreadsheets and then I used various portfolio monitoring applications, but all these tools didn’t match my needs perfectly.
💡I decided to create a handy tool for portfolio tracking by myself and started coding a Telegram bot that would show the balance of all my crypto assets in one place.
🚀 My friends inspired me to go even further and launch a startup with this idea in its core, and in December 2022, I put a team together to finally make this idea a reality!
